For the last 6 months we received several calls from different people asking if we were interested in operating from another country in the region besides Guatemala; given the interest that potential clients expressed in our work, we perceived a gap in the architectural market, where we could offer international standards at an accessible rate.
As a young company for the past 10 years we have set a series of values which include proactivity, and the idea of a new office in Costa Rica was exactly what we were looking for as an adventure to expand operations and bring new solutions, from a local/regional point of view, to the rest of the countries in Central America. The decision was made and two weeks ago we started operations in Escazú Coporate Center.
Although we have designed and built several projects within the region such as Duke Energy corporate offices in El Salvador, Duwest Distribution Centre in Nicaragua and Li+Fung corporate spaces in Honduras and several regional multinational headquarters in Guatemala, we recognize that opening a new office in Costa Rica means a new exciting challenge.
Undoubtedly our experience with multinational companies such as Pepsico, McDonalds, Puma Energy and Nivea BDF amongst others, has allowed us to work towards higher standards and requirements, giving us the confidence to begin this new path very positively.
We are now open and ready for the challenges that Costa Rica may bring, with Architect Pablo Alonzo as Managing Director, and Architect Valerie Grijalva as head of design.
Welcome to Costa Rica, welcome to a new chapter for Studio Domus...
